Crime Stoppers is a citizen-driven crime prevention and reporting initiative that began in the United States in 1976.

The effort has expanded globally to give citizens the means to anonymously provide crime tips to law enforcement for the purposes of investigating and prosecuting crimes in their community.

Our History

Crime Stoppers Global Solutions (CSGS) originated with the director of Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound and former board members of Crime Stoppers USA, who saw a need for a program to stop international crime at its source. CSGS was designed with a top-down structure, unlike other umbrella organizations. Some of our board members have an extensive background with Crime Stoppers and are experts in anonymous tip taking. Other board members have not worked with Crime Stoppers in the past but have experience in such areas as international law enforcement, U.S. governmental affairs, international governmental affairs, legal affairs, business, finance, and other disciplines. Meet our incredible board.

Today, CSGS works with governments and law enforcement agencies globally to bring anonymous tip taking to other countries.
