Almost 20% of all trafficking victims are children.

Every minute of every day, two children are being prepared for sexual exploitation. The average age of these children is 14, many as young as 3. Crime Stoppers Global Solutions has developed app technology where citizens can anonymously report crime. You know what you would do if this was your child. Do your part to stop child sex trafficking.

The numbers are staggering: 9.2 million new slaves per year = 25,200 new slaves per day = 1,050 new slaves per hour = 1 new slave every 4 seconds

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) released the “Global Report on Trafficking in Persons,” which gathered data from 155 countries. According to the report, the most common form of human trafficking (79%) is sexual exploitation, followed by forced labor (18%), including sweat shops and child labor.

“Worldwide, almost 20% of all trafficking victims are children,” the report found. “However, in some parts of Africa and the Mekong region, children are the majority—up to 100% in parts of West Africa.”

In addition, the Counter Trafficking Data Collaborative (CTDC) is the first global hub on human trafficking, with data contributed by 165 countries representing 175 nationalities. The data presented in this map has been collected since 2002 (click image to enlarge):
